The COVID 19 pandemic not only affected the total number of visitors to the archaeological site, Laasgeel, but also the implementation of some of the planned works on the site in terms of preservation. The Ministry of Trade, Industries, and Tourism records show the largest average drop in foreign visitors for the year [2020], while the effect of the drop in domestic visitors is still acceptable.
